Implant and other restorative cases
Many implant cases would benefit from opening or closing spaces prior to implants.
If you have a patient that you think may benefit from orthodontics prior to implants or any other restorative treatment then you can refer the patient as normal. Alternatively you can send in study models and a brief history and treatment plan.
If you let me know in advance I can arrange to see the patient at your surgery at their next appointment, as long as it’s not hundreds of miles away, and we can work out a treatment plan jointly.
Restorative cases that might benefit from braces include:
- Up-righting molars for bridges/implants/partial denture
- Consolidating spaces prior to bridges/implants
- Moving teeth into and out of a space to “grow” bone prior to an implant
- Making teeth ready for veneers
- Intruding or extruding teeth
- Extruding roots when there has been a sub-gingival fracture
